Violence against women and children is a global challenge, and one of the most serious violations of basic human rights. Globally, the shelter movement plays a vital role to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
Drawing on 40 years of experience with at feministic approach, Danner seeks to inspire and be inspired by others working with survivors of domestic violence and to secure equality.
We must continue to develop and improve our support to women and children exposed to domestic violence, not only for the sake of those individuals, but for the greater cause of combatting structures and cultures that continiously makes gender based violence possible.
